Now let's get into the details
of how the tipping competition works!
Firstly, is it a membership where i get charged each week ? Absolutely not... You will only ever be charged when you submit your tips for that week...
This is a little different to a normal tipping competition as there will be winners each and every week for 1st, 2nd and 3rd (each week is a new week and does not accumulate)
The Tipping Competition is run through Funters.
The system works by placing a fake $1 each way stake on your selected horse in each race.
So the more value the horse is paying the better, as the winner is the highest dollar value at the end of the day. (so you need to be a little bit strategic in how you play 😉)
There is a LIVE leaderboard which updates after each race so you can check your progress and see what others have selected in the following races.
The results is based off the Victorian tab tote and is run through an api that feeds the data to the live leaderboard
There will be two double dividend rounds generally in the main race of the day and the last race of the day (these will be marked in orange as you submit your tips so look out for these)
If your horse gets scratched after closing time, the system will automatically select the top weight horse so you dont need to do anything. ( you can change selections before race one if need be but after that it will be locked)
There will be cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd
First place will win 50% of the prize pool, second 30% and third 20%
There is a jackpot bonus that starts at $50 and doubles each week, this can be won if you can win the comp by 10 points or more
Now if you win a competition throughout the year you will book yourself a spot into the Grand Final to play off to be crowned Punters Community Tipping Champion 2024 plus win a trophy and $1000 cash
There will be a Grand Final / Christmas party at the end of each year at the races to meet and greet fellow players
